Rainmaking Made Simple 09/16/2010 8:00 am MT | "Rainmaking Made Simple" is a practical, 20 year-old time tested approach to business development in the legal profession. It gives professionals a practical system for relationship building and a road map for providing exceptional service to clients.
The WLA is hosting a "Rainmaking Made Simple" workshop for its members delivered by
Maraia & Associates. WLA founder and president, Beverly Hedrick will also be on hand to facilitate a lunchtime "Networking in Action" session among the WLA participants so that new referral relationships may begin forming among members at the workshop.

What you receive for your investment:
1. A three-hour highly interactive workshop delivered by Mark Maraia
2. After the workshop, you will receive a personal 45 minute coaching meeting with a Maraia certified coach. This session is geared towards designing and implementing a plan for you.
3. A copy of Mark Maraia's books: Rainmaking Made Simple: What Every Professional Must Know and Relationships Are Everything!: Growing Your Business One Relationship At A Time. (Each participant will be asked to complete two brief surveys and is expected to read relevant chapters from each book prior to the workshop.)
4. Two months of follow-up coaching calls by the same coach you met with at the workshop to keep you motivated and on track (up to 6-8 sessions).
5. Check-in emails and phone calls from your coach between the scheduled coaching calls.
6. Subscription to Mark Maraia's motivating electronic newsletter "The Maraia Minutes."
7. At the end of the coaching period, Mark and the coaches will conduct a 75 minute "Lessons Learned" meeting with all the participants in the program via conference call.
8. After the end of the Maraia coaching, for a period of one year, Beverly Hedrick will hold a monthly conference call with all interested participants to help keep momentum going, and help participants continue to learn from each other.

| Managing the Conflict of Professional Advancement -- Effectively and Relationally 10/28/2010 8:00 am ET | Women in the legal profession have made great strides gaining access to law firms, corporate legal departments and courtrooms. However, there is much work to be done to help more women gain influence and access to leadership roles in firms, general counsel positions and board rooms. Women lawyers can learn to manage the conflict of professional advancement in effective and relational ways. This day long workshop will explore and provide experiential instruction in personal conflict management styles, the power of collaborative skills and the techniques of consensus building. This program will be taught by Nina Meierding, Esq., an internationally acclaimed trainer and expert in managing cultural and gender based conflict, and Larry Bridgesmith, Esq., the Executive Director of the Institute for Conflict Management at Lipscomb University. Together, Nina and Larry will equip you with the skills to positively impact your professional life and immediately be useful with colleagues,clients and at home.
During the 1.5 hour lunch there will be a structured networking session led by Beverly Hedrick, President and founder of the WLA, where members can meet and get to know each other.
6.5 hours of CLE is being applied for.
